Revolut and Lloyds Down as Google Cloud Outage Hits UK

Revolut and Lloyds Bank are among the services affected by a major Google Cloud outage, with customers reporting problems with online banking and credit card use.

Revolut App Disruption

Users of the Revolut banking app have reported seeing a "Something went wrong" message when opening the app, with instructions to "try again later". Revolut acknowledged the issue on X, stating: "We are currently experiencing a service disruption affecting multiple features, which may result in some services being inaccessible."

Lloyds and Other Services Affected

Lloyds Bank customers have reported being unable to log in to their bank accounts. The outage appears to be linked to Google Cloud, which operates internet infrastructure for a wide range of services, though it is unclear whether all problems are related.

Google is reporting that "multiple Google Cloud services are experiencing elevated errors and intermittent network failures in europe-west2 region". The disruption has also impacted the Bank of Scotland and Screwfix.
