Welsh Fire Returns to Cardiff with 90s Headliner and £5 Kids Tickets

Welsh Fire is set to ignite Cardiff's Sophia Gardens this summer with four action-packed matchdays in The Hundred cricket competition, featuring a headline performance from 90s rock band Feeder, alongside rising Welsh star Hana Lili and Cardiff-based trio Mellt. Tickets start at £18 for adults and just £5 for children, making it an affordable family day out.

Matchday Schedule and Cricket Action

The matchdays will take place on July 25, July 29, August 3, and August 12, 2026, when Welsh Fire's men's and women's teams compete in The Hundred – a fast-paced 100-ball cricket format designed to keep spectators on the edge of their seats. The shorter format ensures non-stop excitement, with each match lasting around two and a half hours.

Headline Entertainment Lineup

On July 25, former Cardiff and Wales rugby star Josh Navidi will serve as headline DJ. Navidi, who won the 2019 Grand Slam and captained his country, will also participate in on-stage interviews and photo opportunities, sharing stories from his legendary career. July 29 features Hana Lili, a rising Welsh talent who previously supported Coldplay at the Principality Stadium, blending indie, pop, and rock with honest songwriting. August 3 sees Newport band Feeder, Kerrang! Hall of Fame inductees with over 1.4 million albums sold and five consecutive UK Top 10 records, take the stage. On August 12, Cardiff-based Welsh-language rock trio Mellt will perform, known for their high-energy sound and award-winning debut album Mae’n Hawdd Pan Ti’n Ifanc, which won Welsh Language Album of the Year in 2018.
