Oktoberfest to take over Newcastle for three weekends

Oktoberfest is set to return to Newcastle with a massive celebration taking over the city centre for three weekends in a row. The event will be held in a giant marquee in Times Square, a venue that recently hosted crowds watching England during the 2026 World Cup and the Newcastle Pride Arena.

Three Saturdays of Bavarian festivities

On October 10, 17 and 24, Times Square will be transformed into a large Bavarian beer hall. Thousands of partygoers are expected to attend, with overflowing steins, live Oompah bands, authentic German street food and non-stop entertainment on offer.

Afternoon and evening sessions will run on all three Saturdays. Daytime tickets are valid between 12pm and 5.30pm, while night tickets allow entry from 6pm to 11pm. Tickets are on sale now, with a buy one get one half price offer still running. Daytime tickets are priced at £11.25 and night tickets from £9.38. Student discounts are also available.

Country music event the day before

On Friday, October 23, the day before the final Oktoberfest party, Times Square will host Ruby Rae's XL, a country music festival organised by the team behind the city's first dedicated country bar. Tributes to Shania Twain, Morgan Wallen and Ella Langley will perform as part of the event.
