Man Utd Unveils First Permanent Fan Zone at Old Trafford

Manchester United has unveiled plans for its first ever permanent matchday fan zone at Old Trafford. The Paddock will offer supporters a space to meet fellow Reds and enjoy the pre-match build up together.

Location and Features

Situated just 15 metres behind the Stretford End, The Paddock will be the closest place to the stadium for food, drink, and lively entertainment. The 1,300-capacity fan zone, free to enter, will be open only on matchdays, providing all Manchester United ticket holders a dedicated space to enjoy the atmosphere before and after the game.

The club says the move responds to 'strong demand' from supporters.

Partnership with Levy

The Paddock is part of Manchester United's new partnership with Levy, global leaders in hospitality and entertainment. This collaboration will bring improvements to the matchday experience, including new draught-beer taps, more self-service bars, and a wider range of food and drink across Old Trafford.

Rick McGagh, Director of Fan Engagement at Manchester United, said: "We are delighted that in partnership with Levy, we have implemented a wide range of changes to enhance matchdays, bringing together greater choice and better service for supporters across the stadium - something fans have told us they want."

He added: "The proposed fan zone is the latest example of our continued investment in the atmosphere, fan experience and facilities at Old Trafford, while progressing plans for a new world-class stadium."

New Stadium Plans

The announcement comes weeks after Manchester United confirmed its new 100,000-seater stadium will be built on land recently purchased from Indurent, located around 350 metres from Old Trafford. The location was confirmed on July 9 at the Wharfside Strategic Masterplan.

The new ground will be the centrepiece of a Stadium District, purpose-built for sport, entertainment, and year-round activity. The masterplan also includes improved public transport links, enhanced rail connectivity, and extensive walking and cycling infrastructure, aiming to create 48,000 local jobs and 15,000 new homes.

The Paddock is due to open in the autumn for home matchdays, subject to planning approval.
