Halloween fans in Newcastle can book spooky cruises on the River Tyne next month, as The Canny Lass prepares to host its first themed events.
The boat trips will set sail from Newcastle Quayside on Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31, with various timeslots available on both days. Tickets are priced at £15 for adults and £18 for children aged 2-15.
Spooky makeover for family cruises
A preview for the boat trips reads: "This Halloween, Canny Lass is getting a spooky makeover for some special daytime family event cruises on the River Tyne! Join us on Friday 30th & Saturday 31st October for a fun-filled 1-hour Family Halloween Cruise from Newcastle Quayside."
On board there will be spooky stories, Halloween colouring and activities, plenty of fun for the kids, and a cruise along the Tyne taking in Newcastle's famous bridges and riverside sights.
Demand expected to be high
The cruises are scheduled to depart at 1pm and 3pm on both days. Organisers have advised booking promptly as demand for tickets is expected to be high.
The Canny Lass has been running excursions on the River Tyne since early August, offering views of the Quayside, Gateshead, and up to North Shields. The Halloween events mark the first themed cruises for the vessel.
