Arsenal Urged to Sell Three Premier League Title Winners in Summer Overhaul
Arsenal Told to Sell Jesus, Martinelli, and White

Arsenal have been advised to part ways with Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, and Ben White as part of a summer rebuild. The Gunners ended their long wait for a Premier League title under Mikel Arteta last season, finishing seven points ahead of closest rivals Manchester City. However, Arteta appears keen to avoid stagnation, with a squad reshuffle anticipated in the upcoming transfer window.

Several established first-team stars could depart, including Ben White, Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus, and Leandro Trossard. Former Arsenal striker Alan Smith has shared his perspective on the club's plans, endorsing a significant shake-up. Speaking to Metro, Smith said: "The only one from that list I wouldn’t want to see go is Leandro Trossard. I think he’s had a great season. He can score important goals and he’s a very clever player, versatile as well. He’s mainly played on the left, but he can come inside. He’s a big fan favourite as well."

Smith added: "Looking at Gabriel Martinelli, it’s been a frustrating few years for him. Ben White, yeah, again, I’m sure there’s defenders coming to the club so he might feel like it’s time to go. I can see Gabriel Jesus going as well, certainly if Arsenal buy another striker which it looks like they’re trying to do. I think he would be the first one that they would try and offload. But Leandro Trossard, for me, is one you wouldn’t want to let go."

Arsenal are expected to be active in the summer market. They are pursuing Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers after his standout season, while links to Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez persist. The club has also reportedly agreed personal terms with Roma midfielder Manu Kone, with a potential fee of around 50 million euros (£43 million) required to open talks with the Italian side.

Beyond transfers, Arsenal will learn their 2026/27 fixture list on Friday morning, as the new season's calendar is released.
