Arsenal are close to finalising new contracts for Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard and Jurrien Timber, according to reports, as the January transfer window approaches. Elsewhere, Manchester United could receive a windfall from a potential Napoli sale of Scott McTominay, and Liverpool are linked with Kylian Mbappe.
Arsenal close to triple deal
The Gunners earlier this week announced that manager Mikel Arteta had signed a new four-year contract that runs until the summer of 2030. That was followed by claims of a new deal for Declan Rice that would take him close to Arsenal's top earner Bukayo Saka.
According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal are now hopeful of finalising new deals for Rice, captain Martin Odegaard and versatile defender Jurrien Timber during the November international break.
Mbappe exit and Bayern raid
Fichajes reports that Real Madrid are willing to consider Kylian Mbappe's departure after being disappointed by his behaviour this season. The French striker's conduct has raised concerns at the club and created uncertainty over his long-term future, with Real now open to parting ways if the right opportunity emerges.
Reports in Germany claim Bayern Munich are preparing a January move for Barcelona midfielder Dani Olmo. Barcelona could consider a sale and are expected to demand between €80–€90 million to enter negotiations. Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham have also been alerted to his situation.
Chelsea and Everton updates
Chelsea academy midfielder Jayden Malundama has signed his first professional contract with the club. Malundama joined Chelsea as an Under-8 and has emerged as a promising defensive midfielder.
An Everton statement read: "The Friedkin Group is exploring new investment options for Everton Football Club, including the potential sale of a controlling interest. When TFG became custodians of Everton, the Club faced significant financial uncertainty and challenges both on and off the pitch. The immediate priority was to provide the stability, investment and support needed to secure the Club’s future, including helping to bring the long-promised stadium to completion for its deserving supporters. With that foundation now safely in place, the time is right to consider the next chapter for Everton. We will only entertain interest from parties who we strongly believe will be the right stewards to take the Club forward and build on the momentum that has been established."
United and Liverpool moves
Manchester United have offered JJ Gabriel a scholarship contract as they look to convince the wonderkid to stay at the club. Gabriel blindsided the Red Devils last month when he made a surprise request to be deregistered, allowing him to leave as a free agent.
Liverpool have made contact with Kylian Mbappe's representatives over a blockbuster move for the Real Madrid superstar, according to Spanish journalist Francois Gallardo. "Several Premier League teams are interested in Kylian Mbappe, but the player’s priority is Liverpool," Gallardo told outlet Defensa Central. "They have already contacted [Mbappe's mother and representative] Fayza Lamari in recent weeks."
