The agent of Manchester United defender Diego Leon has warned that the 19-year-old could seek a move away unless his first-team prospects improve by the turn of the year, while insisting the player does not want to leave the club.
Leon has not been involved in a senior squad for United all season, despite the Red Devils suffering problems at left-back. First-choice Luke Shaw has been hampered by injuries, with Leny Yoro and Diogo Dalot having deputised on the left.
United had targeted Lewis Hall during the summer transfer window, but a move for the Newcastle man did not materialise.
Agent's warning over first-team chances
Speaking about his client's situation, Renato Bittar said: "If there isn't a plan to break into the first team between December and January, we'll look for a way out for him. A loan somewhere where he can compete, get playing time, and return to Manchester."
Bittar added: "The Championship is an option, as are other European leagues, but we don't want to leave here. He's performing well with the U21 team, he's training well, and his physical condition is excellent."
Leon has only been used by the under-21s this season.
Pressure mounts on Michael Carrick
United have started the season in dreadful fashion, winning just two of the first 11 matches across all competitions. This has led to suggestions that Michael Carrick could be sacked just months after being appointed permanently.
The likes of Lisandro Martinez and Bruno Fernandes have both been outspoken towards part of the club's decision-making.
Despite the noise, Carrick is confident he is the right man for the job. Speaking ahead of the Bournemouth match, he said: "We have spoken, always conversations going on. A reaction [needed] from me. Our responsibility is to lead. I will hold that umbrella for me to get wet, and everyone stays dry. 100 per cent, I can turn it around. It hurts an awful lot, but it doesn't stop me. We want more. It feels like it can be a long way away but it doesn't take much to flip that."
Adding: "We have a very tough game on Sunday. It does not become an easy game. If you don't [feel like me] this isn't the right place for you."
