Arsenal are reportedly in talks to sign 17-year-old Georgian wonderkid Andria Bartishvili, who has been dubbed the 'next Khvicha Kvaratskhelia'. With Mikel Arteta prioritising a new left-winger this summer, the Gunners have turned their attention to the teenager after a move for PSG star Kvaratskhelia proved difficult.
According to BBC Sport, Arsenal plan to make a pre-contract offer for Bartishvili, who is currently contracted to Georgian second-division side FC Kolkheti until the end of 2026. The attacking midfielder made his senior debut at age 16 and is currently on loan at Iberia 1999, where he has helped them to second in the top-flight table.
Comparisons to Kvaratskhelia have been drawn by Cristian Zaccardo, the former Italy international who helped Napoli sign the PSG star. 'Recently, a lot of talented players have appeared in Georgia, one of such players is Andria Bartishvili,' Zaccardo told Sky Calcio. 'This 16-year-old attacking midfielder has the potential to become a great player.'
Arsenal may face competition for Bartishvili's signature, with Italian clubs including Juventus also interested. The Gunners are set to begin their 2026/27 Premier League campaign against Coventry City on August 21.
