Raducanu Eyes Record £3.7m US Open Prize, Double 2021 Winnings

Emma Raducanu could earn a record £3.7 million ($5 million) if she wins the US Open for a second time next month. The tournament has announced its largest-ever prize fund, with the overall pot rising to £67 million ($90 million).

The British star won the 2021 title as a teenager, taking home £1.8 million ($2.4 million). That prize has more than doubled in four years, and is also a significant increase from the £2.7 million ($3.6 million) awarded to last year's champions, Aryna Sabalenka and Jannik Sinner.

Raducanu, now 22, has appointed new coach Francisc Roig, who previously worked with Rafael Nadal. She will hope the change can spark a strong performance in New York, having recently lost in the Canadian Open to Amanda Anisimova.

The US Open prize fund is now £13.5 million higher than Wimbledon's record £53.5 million pot. First-round losers will receive £82,000 ($110,000), while doubles champions earn £750,000 ($1 million).
