Leeds Rhinos delivered a commanding performance to defeat Warrington Wolves 34-6, moving two points clear at the top of Super League. The match, billed as a clash between the league's best defence and best attack, proved one-sided as Leeds showcased their title credentials.
First-Half Dominance
Leeds led 16-2 at half-time, with tries from Maika Sivo, Brodie Croft, and Harry Newman. Jake Connor and Lachie Miller orchestrated the attacks, leaving Warrington unable to respond. Sivo's first try saw him hold off the Warrington defence to score, setting the tone for the evening.
Second-Half Statement
Early in the second half, Miller's stunning pass set up Chris Hankinson's try, putting Leeds in complete control. Connor then provided two assists for Sivo to complete his hat-trick. Sivo now has 25 tries in 15 games this season, closing in on Denny Solomona's single-season record of 40.
Matty Ashton scored a late consolation try for Warrington, but the result was never in doubt. Leeds' head coach Brad Arthur praised his side's physical dominance and resilience, while Warrington's Sam Burgess admitted his team were outplayed in key moments.
Title Credentials
Leeds, who have not won a title since 2017, now look like genuine contenders. With a visit from reigning champions Hull KR next weekend, they have another chance to solidify their position at the top.
