England's starting line-up for their World Cup opener against Croatia appears to have been leaked ahead of the official team announcement, with Thomas Tuchel reportedly making several big selection calls.
According to multiple reports including The Sun, the Three Lions boss is set to name the same XI that started the recent 3-0 friendly victory over Costa Rica.
If accurate, the leaked team means Arsenal star Bukayo Saka will begin the match on the bench despite being widely regarded as England's first-choice right winger.
There is also a major call in defence, with Marc Guehi reportedly left out of the starting side for what is expected to be England's toughest group-stage fixture.
Instead, Tuchel is understood to have opted for a back four of Nico O'Reilly, John Stones, Ezri Konsa and Reece James, with Jordan Pickford retaining his place in goal.
Declan Rice and Elliot Anderson are expected to anchor the midfield, while Jude Bellingham is set to get the nod ahead of Morgan Rogers in the central attacking role.
Anthony Gordon is tipped to start on the left wing, with Noni Madueke reportedly preferred to Saka on the opposite flank.
England captain Harry Kane will lead the line as the Three Lions begin their bid for World Cup glory.
The reported selection is likely to spark debate among supporters, particularly given Saka's importance to the national side in recent tournaments and Guehi's impressive performances for England over the last two years.
Saka has been managing an Achilles issue since March, which could explain Tuchel's decision, while Guehi's omission is perhaps the biggest surprise from the leaked team.
England head into the clash on the back of a convincing win over Costa Rica, with Rice, Gordon and Ollie Watkins all on target in that match.
The official team announcement is expected later this evening ahead of kick-off against Croatia.
'Leaked' England team: Pickford; James, Konsa, Stones, O'Reilly; Anderson, Rice; Madueke, Bellingham, Gordon; Kane.
