Stephen Clegg wins gold for Scotland in S13 50m freestyle

Stephen Clegg has won a gold medal for Scotland at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. The 30-year-old para-swimmer triumphed in the S13 50m freestyle final on Tuesday night.

Clegg finished with a time of 24.73 seconds. South Africa's Nathan Hendricks took silver in 24.84, while Canada's Nicolas-Guy Turbide claimed bronze in 24.96.

Previous success

Last week, Clegg won a silver medal for Scotland in the men's S13 100m. He also earned silver in the same event at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
