Antoine Semenyo broke a FIFA rule during Ghana's World Cup clash against England by wearing a different colour grip sock to the all yellow strip of his national team. The Manchester City star lined up for the clash with a white grip sock that was clearly visible between his socks and boots.
FIFA Rule Violation
It is a requirement that any added item of clothing must match the kit colour with that officially ruled in Section 2 of the IFAB's Law 4. It states: “Any tape or material applied externally to a sock must match the colour of the part of the sock it covers.”
