Katie Boulter and Alex de Minaur married over the weekend in a private ceremony in Leicestershire, on the same day as the Wimbledon men's singles final. The wedding was kept secret until photos emerged on Monday.
Boulter Uncertain About Name Change
Speaking ahead of Wimbledon, Boulter said she ordered an England shirt with her own name on the back. 'I'm not a De Minaur yet,' she grinned. When asked if she would change her name, she replied: 'It's a great question. We're gonna find out. That decision's also not been made!'
Couple Plans Quick Return to Court
Both players intend to compete at the ATP and WTA 500 event in Washington later this month. De Minaur is the defending champion, and Boulter wants to start the North American hard-court swing early. 'I don't want to take weeks off,' she said.
Wimbledon Disappointments
Both suffered early exits at Wimbledon. Boulter lost in the first round to qualifier Tyra Grant, while De Minaur fell in straight sets to Flavio Cobolli in round four. 'You start doubting yourself,' De Minaur admitted.
