Angharad Evans won gold for Scotland in the Commonwealth Games, taking the Women's 100m Breaststroke title on 26 July 2026.
Race performance
The 23-year-old completed the race in 1 minute 6.07 seconds, finishing just 0.12 seconds ahead of South Africa's Aimee Canny. This marks the first time a Scottish swimmer has won gold in this event.
Scotland's fourth gold
Evans' medal is Scotland's fourth gold of the Games, which are being held in Glasgow. Earlier on the same day, Reuben Ward, 21, won gold in gymnastics. Duncan Scott also added gold in the 200m individual medley, followed by Faye Rogers in the 200m individual medley SM10.
