Adam Peaty kissed his pregnant wife Holly Ramsay's baby bump on Wednesday after winning a silver medal in the men's medley relay at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
The Olympic champion, 31, celebrated his final match of the Games at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre before heading to the stands to embrace Holly and gently kiss her growing bump.
Mixed team relay disappointment
Earlier in the competition, Peaty and his mixed relay teammates Edward Mildred, Freya Colbert and Lauren Cox finished in fifth place in the 4x100m relay, leaving the swimmer and his wife looking disappointed from the stands.
That loss followed earlier setbacks in the 100m and 50m breaststroke, where Peaty took bronze instead of gold.
Emotional reaction
Peaty was seen in tears after one of his races, saying: "It's hard because I know how hard I work. I know the s**t I've been through, which is no fault of my own, but it does take its toll."
"I'm not crying because it's bronze instead of gold. I'm crying because I know I am better than that. I feel like I couldn't have put any more in and that's where it hurts, because I'm like, 'What's the point of all the metres every day, what's the point of being exhausted all the time?'" he said.
Family and baby news
Peaty and Ramsay married at the end of 2025, with a reported falling out meaning his parents were not present. They announced they are expecting their first child, a baby girl, in December 2026.
Peaty finishes the Commonwealth Games with a silver medal from the men's medley relay and two bronze medals from the 100m and 50m breaststroke events.
