Lando Norris will start from pole position at today’s Hungarian Grand Prix, with Lewis Hamilton joining him on the front row as the Briton looks to keep his fading title hopes alive.
Hamilton trails championship leader Kimi Antonelli by 45 points, but the seven-time world champion has a strong record in Budapest, having won the race eight times. He will be aiming to cut into Antonelli’s advantage before the four-week summer break.
Further down the grid, Aston Martin struggled in practice, with Lance Stroll sidelined by a rear suspension issue and Fernando Alonso nearly three seconds off the pace. The team brought a significant upgrade but have failed to close the gap to the frontrunners.
The race begins at 2pm BST (3pm local time) live on Sky Sports F1, with coverage from 1pm. Conditions are set to be warm and dry, with a high of 31°C and partly cloudy skies expected throughout the afternoon.
