Michael Olise has reportedly communicated his desire to leave Bayern Munich and join Real Madrid this summer, according to L'Equipe. The 24-year-old French winger, who just helped France at the World Cup, sees Real as the world's greatest club and the next step in his career.
Olise's Stellar Season and Bayern's Stance
Olise enjoyed the best season of his career, scoring 22 times for Bayern Munich. He has a contract at the Allianz Arena until 2029. Bayern have zero desire to sell, but Real are aware of Olise's wish to join them. They are not making a formal approach until Olise holds a meeting with Bayern officials to formally state his desire to leave.
Real Madrid's Interest and Potential Vinicius Jr. Factor
Real Madrid are ready to ramp up their efforts to sign Olise. A key factor could be Vinicius Junior, who clashed with returning manager Jose Mourinho last year. Vinicius' contract expires in 2027, and he has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia. Should he leave, Real's search for a replacement would intensify.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez previously hinted at breaking the club's transfer record. He told Spanish TV show Horizonte: "I have some news for you. On Tuesday or so, I'm going to make an offer to a major Champions League club for a great player. It would be the largest transfer fee Real Madrid has ever paid in its history." He added: "Olise is a great player but it's not Olise. It's not (Jeremy) Doku either. We're going to make a significant offer, at least around 150m. He needs to be a player from midfield who can go forward. And it's not (Erling) Haaland. The player is not from the Premier League. And the first thing we'll do is talk to the club."
