Newsboy has named Blue Prince as his Nap for Tuesday evening's Highclere Castle Gin Handicap at Salisbury, with the five-year-old expected to deliver a winning performance. Trained by David Evans, Blue Prince previously triumphed over seven furlongs at the same Wiltshire track in June, finishing two lengths clear of Dragon King after traveling smoothly throughout.
Blue Prince's Recent Form
In his latest outing, Blue Prince finished a promising third under jockey Rossa Ryan, who retains the ride, over today's mile distance. The selection made strong headway inside the final furlong and finished with vigor, though unable to catch the leaders. The form of that race has been boosted by winner Grizedale, who subsequently landed a handicap at Newbury. With only three rivals to beat, Blue Prince appears well placed to score.
Massimo Blue at Wolverhampton
At Wolverhampton, Newsboy fancies Massimo Blue (9.00, nb) to defy top weight in the finale. The George Baker-trained four-year-old finished a close third over course and distance last time, dwelling at the start but traveling and keeping on well to finish just half a length behind Initial Blue. The runner-up from that race, Serenity Dream, has since won at Chepstow, frank the form. Massimo Blue was only fifth on turf at Newbury previously but is much happier on the all-weather and faces weaker opposition in the 6f Call 01902 390016 To Name A Race Handicap.
