Formula One drivers are among the best-paid people in sport, enjoying lives filled with privileges, including travelling to luxurious destinations, and are handsomely remunerated for the pleasure. But not every driver earns the same, and Express Sport has crunched the numbers to detail the biggest earners in the field.
Rookies Earn £750,000
Several young drivers on the grid are reportedly earning around £750,000 per year. Arvid Lindblad, Franco Colapinto, Liam Lawson, and Oliver Bearman are all believed to be on this salary.
Liam Lawson has recovered from his disastrous stint at Red Bull, while Oliver Bearman continues to impress. The other two youngsters round out the group of rumoured £750,000 earners.
Antonelli's £1.5m Deal
World champion-elect Kimi Antonelli was still an unknown when he signed a contract with Mercedes. He is said to be earning around £1.5m, but after his performances this year, it is likely he will be in line for a wage increase.
Verstappen's Dominance
Max Verstappen earns 35 times more than Antonelli, according to the figures. The exact salary of the top earner was not disclosed in the report, but the comparison highlights the wide gap between the highest and lowest paid drivers on the grid.
