Manchester City have been found guilty of 114 out of 115 financial breaches in their case against the Premier League. The club continues to deny any wrongdoing and says it will appeal against the verdict. If City are stripped of their titles, as many as eight trophies could change in the history books, including the one that started it all.
FA Cup 2010/11 and Premier League 2011/12
City ended their long drought for silverware in 2011, when they beat Stoke in the FA Cup final. Yaya Toure was the difference-maker that day, just as he had been in the semi-final against Manchester United. Tony Pulis has already spoken out about the charges, admitting he feels cheated by the verdict.
Twelve months after their FA Cup win, City got their hands on the big one as Edin Dzeko and Sergio Aguero found the net in the 90th minute to turn the Premier League title on its head, snatching the trophy from bitter rivals United.
Community Shield 2012/13 and League Cup 2013/14
As Premier League champions, City clashed with FA Cup holders Chelsea in the Community Shield during the traditional curtain raiser of the season. Chelsea could now be set to introduce some more silverware to the trophy cabinet, if they want to count it or not.
City beat Sunderland in the final of the League Cup in early 2014. It was Yaya Toure in a cup final again, looping the ball over Vito Mannone with an audacious attempt from 30 yards out. Sunderland have returned to Wembley since that afternoon, but none of their trips have held the same weight as a League Cup.
Premier League 2013/14 and League Cup 2015/16
If those memories are painful for Sunderland, spare a thought for Steven Gerrard. The Liverpool icon is arguably the greatest player these shores have ever seen not to win the Premier League - in 2014, he came so very close. It was Gerrard's infamous slip, allowing Demba Ba in behind, that swung the title back to City, before an unthinkable collapse at Crystal Palace all but handed Manuel Pellegrini's side the title.
Liverpool, again, could stand to earn some more silverware after they were beaten by City in the League Cup in 2016. Reds fans might already have a sour taste in their mouths from the final, with Toure being allowed to stay on the pitch despite 'bodyslamming' Adam Lallana. City won on penalties, and the Reds' wait for another trophy would extend to 2020.
League Cup 2017/18 and Premier League 2017/18
Pep Guardiola's first trophy at City was also in the League Cup, now rebranded after being sponsored by energy drinks Carabao. It was the start of the Guardiola era as the Sky Blues ripped apart Arsenal at Wembley. The Gunners, who emerged as Guardiola's biggest challengers in his final years at City, could now be ready to earn another victory over City.
City's alleged breaches run until 2018, the year they were arguably at their very best on the pitch as Guardiola's side ripped up the history books to become the first team to ever earn 100 points in the Premier League. That record could be dissolved into history as United, who finished a distant second under Jose Mourinho, would be crowned champions of England, again.
