Wrexham AFC player James McClean is reportedly under investigation by the Football Association after an alleged altercation with a Cardiff City supporter in the players' car park ahead of last week's Carabao Cup tie at the Racecourse Ground.
The incident occurred before Cardiff's 2-1 victory and is said to have started jovially when McClean spoke with a group of away fans before escalating. It remains unclear how the supporters gained access to the private compound allocated for players' parking.
A Wrexham spokesperson confirmed the club is aware of the incident and has reported it to the relevant authorities, adding that no further comment would be made at this stage.
Cardiff City sources have stated that no official complaint has been lodged by any supporter, nor have they received correspondence from Wrexham or North Wales Police regarding the matter.
McClean, 36, was an unused substitute in the match, which Cardiff won with goals from Yousef Salech and Will Fish.
