Tyson Fury is set to make a dramatic return to the boxing ring this weekend, facing off against Russian heavyweight Arslanbek Makhmudov in a highly anticipated bout. The fight takes place on Saturday, April 11, at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, marking Fury's first match on home soil in nearly four years.
Fury's Return and Fight Details
After announcing his retirement 14 months ago, 'The Gypsy King' has come out of retirement to challenge Makhmudov, known as a 'knockout artist' with a record of 21 wins and 2 losses, including 19 knockouts. Fury, a two-time heavyweight champion with a record of 34 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw, including 24 knockouts, last fought in December 2024, suffering a defeat to WBC champion Oleksandr Usyk.
At a recent press conference, Fury expressed his excitement for the dangerous opponent, stating, 'If I fight a pudding, I don't get turned on by that. I have to fight somebody dangerous to make me want to even train, make me want to even take it seriously.' He added, 'I'm looking forward to coming here, putting on a real show, and most of all, I'm looking forward to punching his face right in.'
The event features a packed card, with the co-main event showcasing Conor Benn vs Regis Prograis. The main card begins at 7pm, with Fury and Makhmudov expected to enter the ring around 10.30pm. Prelims start at 3.30pm, and Benn vs Prograis is scheduled for approximately 9.30pm.
