Carragher and Neville agree Gravenberch red card harsh

Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville were in agreement that it was harsh for Ryan Gravenberch to be sent off for two yellow card offences during Liverpool's Premier League clash against Manchester City.

In the second half, Gravenberch was penalised with two cautions for a late tackle on Elliot Anderson and a pull-back on Jeremy Doku.

Pundits question the referee's decisions

However, Carragher and Neville were both not convinced that he should have been dismissed. The former said on Sky Sports: "It feels really harsh when you think of the two challenges. The first challenge was not a card and the referee was far too quick to get the card out."

"The first was the same, the referee was so quick to get a yellow out." Neville then added: "That is very, very soft."

Man City silence Anfield

To make matters worse for Andoni Iraola, Erling Haaland and Doku both scored to silence the Anfield crowd.
