The 26-year-old, who is expected to complete a £65m move to Manchester City in the coming days, received a standing ovation and a farewell lap of the Vitality Stadium after the final whistle.
Tottenham had taken an early lead through Mathys Tel, but Bournemouth responded with goals from Evanilson and Eli Junior Kroupi. Joao Palhinha equalised with an overhead kick for Spurs, who then had a penalty overturned via VAR. Richarlison also hit the post before Semenyo's decisive strike in the fifth minute of added time.
The defeat compounds a dire run for Thomas Frank's side, who have now lost 10 of their past 12 Premier League matches. Injuries are mounting, with Dominic Solanke, James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, and Mohammed Kudus already absent, while Lucas Bergvall and Rodrigo Bentancur were forced off in the second half. Frank was also pictured drinking from an Arsenal-branded cup, which he later described as an 'absolutely stupid' mistake. He added: 'It's very tough to sit here when we haven't got anything out of an overall good performance. The players gave everything.' Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola praised Semenyo, saying: 'He deserved this moment. A moment he will never forget.'
