Tom Brady has taken on a minority stake in Championship side Birmingham City and will chair the club's new advisory board, marking his first venture into English football. The NFL legend, who retired in February after a 23-year career, admitted he has much to learn but pledged to apply his winning mindset.
In a video posted on social media, Brady said: 'I've got a lot to learn... but I do know a few things about winning. I think they might translate pretty well. I know success starts with the work put in when the world isn't watching.' He added: 'It's time to get to work.'
Brady's role will involve advising on nutrition, health, wellness and recovery systems, as well as global marketing and commercial partnerships. Club owner Tom Wagner welcomed the appointment, calling it 'a statement of intent' and noting that success 'does not come overnight'.
