Spurs Predicted XI vs Chelsea: Porro Returns for Derby

Pedro Porro will return for Tottenham Hotspur this evening for their Premier League trip to Chelsea. The right-back has been out for a month with a hamstring injury sustained during Spurs' 3-2 defeat by Aston Villa and missed their first Premier League win of the season against Coventry on Monday night.

Fitness Boost for Spurs

The World Cup winner visited a specialist in Spain over the international break to aid his recovery, and head coach Roberto De Zerbi said on Friday that Porro is in contention for a return to the matchday squad. Having decided not to risk Destiny Udogie against Coventry, De Zerbi has also confirmed that his first-choice left-back remains unavailable for selection against Chelsea.

“With the medical staff, we are trying to find the best way for him,” the Spurs boss said in the pre-match press conference. “But after Manchester United, I have not worked with him, and it is a problem. We are lucky because in the same position we have solutions.”

Team News and Injury Updates

Loanee Mykhailo Mudryk is expected back soon from an ankle injury, though he is ineligible for Saturday's game against parent club Chelsea. Tosin Adarabioyo, Andy Robertson and Omar Marmoush all came off against Coventry with suspected injuries, but De Zerbi played down fears that they had sustained significant blows and all three are expected to be fit and available, with Marmoush also pictured training at Hotspur Way on Thursday.

Lucas Bergvall (knee) and Savio (muscle) are still out, while long-term absentees Wilson Odobert and Xavi Simons are progressing but still some way from a return to match action. There were positives after Spurs' 3-1 victory over Coventry, with James Maddison starting his first competitive game since May 2025 and Dejan Kulusevski making his first appearance in nearly 18 months off the bench. While both players came through the game unscathed, De Zerbi is unsure whether they can be involved against Chelsea.

Predicted Lineup and Match Details

Rodrigo Bentancur will serve the second game of his three-match ban after being sent off against Manchester United for headbutting Luke Shaw. Predicted Tottenham XI vs Chelsea: Kinsky, Porro, Van Hecke, Van de Ven, Robertson, Gray, Tonali, Gallagher, Kudus, Solanke, Marmoush.

Injured players include Simons, Odobert, Mudryk, Savio, Bergvall and Udogie, while Tosin, Kulusevski and Maddison are doubts. The match kicks off at 5:30pm BST on Saturday October 24, 2026 at Stamford Bridge and will be broadcast on Sky Sports.
