Khadija Shaw scored the fastest hat-trick in Women's Super League history as Manchester City thrashed Tottenham 5-2 to open a nine-point lead at the top. The Jamaica international completed her treble in 13 first-half minutes at the Joie Stadium, putting City in command before the break.
Olivia Holdt had cancelled out Shaw's opener, but further goals from Kerolin and an own goal by Amanda Nildén made it 4-1 at half-time. Bethany England's late strike was scant consolation for Tottenham's improved second-half display.
Manchester United moved into second with a dramatic 2-1 win over Everton. Elisabeth Terland gave United the lead, but Inma Gabarro headed an equaliser in the 90th minute before Melvine Malard's stoppage-time winner.
Chelsea's Champions League hopes suffered a blow as they drew 1-1 with London City Lionesses. Johanna Rytting Kaneryd put Chelsea ahead, but Isobel Goodwin equalised with eight minutes left, leaving Chelsea nine points adrift of City.
Arsenal made it four straight WSL wins with a 5-0 thrashing of West Ham. Chloe Kelly scored a hat-trick, with Alessia Russo and Beth Mead also on target.
