Former world champion Lee Selby will make his return to the bare-knuckle boxing ring on November 14, headlining BKB 61 at The O2 Arena in London against Ollie Sentance.
Selby, 39, from Barry, held the IBF featherweight title during his professional boxing career, which ended in 2022 after consecutive defeats to George Kambosos Jr and Gustavo Daniel Lemos. His professional boxing record stands at 28-4.
Switch to bare-knuckle boxing
The former champion made the switch to bare-knuckle boxing in June, scoring a second-round knockout victory over Antonio Rizzo in his debut. That win earned him a main event slot in just his second fight under the BKB banner.
Sentance, his opponent, is an experienced combat sports veteran who has already won two fights in bare-knuckle boxing.
Fighters preview the clash
Selby said: "I’m really looking forward to getting back in the Trigon and fighting in London again. Ollie is a tough opponent and I know he’ll be coming to bring a fight, so I’m expecting a proper battle. It’s always special fighting in front of the British fans, and I’m excited to headline BKB 61 and put on a great night for everyone at The O2."
Sentance added: "Lee Selby is a former world champion and has achieved a lot in boxing, so I have nothing but respect for what he’s done. But this is bare knuckle boxing, and when we step into the Trigon, none of that matters. I’ve worked hard for this opportunity and I’m coming to London to test myself against one of the best names in the sport. I’m ready for the challenge and I’m coming to put on a fight the fans will remember."
