Krispy Kreme has unveiled a limited-edition doughnut inspired by the BBC hit show The Traitors. The doughnut chain has partnered with the programme to release a special sweet treat reflecting the show's battle between Traitors and Faithfuls. The collection arrives ahead of the new season of The Celebrity Traitors, which is set to air at the start of next month.
Two surprise fillings hidden inside
The new doughnut features one of two brightly coloured surprise fillings hidden in the centre, mirroring the mystery and deception at the heart of the show. One centre is bright green, based on the scheming Traitors, hidden beneath a layer of chocolate. The other nods to the faithful contestants with a bright orange centre.
Both doughnuts feature a decorative chocolate coated shield on the top. The special edition treat is priced at £2.99 and lands on shelves from September 28, available for a limited time only in Krispy Kreme stores and selected supermarkets nationwide.
Chance to win Traitors merchandise bundle
Customers who purchase a four-pack of the special edition doughnuts will be given the chance to win an exclusive Traitors merchandise bundle. Fans can win the bundle by finding a golden coin sticker hidden inside their box.
The prize package includes a range of themed goodies such as The Traitors quill pen, a plush keyring, a voucher to play The Traitors: Anywhere, a pack of The Traitors Chews, a "Traitor or Faithful" Yankee Candle and a themed Christmas card.

New celebrity season set to air from October 1
The launch comes as the latest celebrity edition of the show is set to air from October 1. Featuring a new cast of famous faces, they will tackle gruelling challenges and tense roundtables in a bid to follow season one's much-loved Traitor, Alan Carr.
Among the stars joining host Claudia Winkleman for the upcoming season are comedian James Acaster, actor Bella Ramsey and presenter Romesh Ranganathan. The Traitors-inspired range follows a string of popular launches from Krispy Kreme, including its recent Pokémon-themed collection, as the doughnut chain continues to tap into some of the biggest entertainment franchises in the world.
