Robinson’s Stunning Spell Revives England Against New Zealand

Ollie Robinson made a sensational return to Test cricket, taking a triple-wicket maiden on the first day against New Zealand at Lord's. The 32-year-old seamer, recalled after two years, claimed four wickets as New Zealand slumped to 61 for six at stumps, replying to England's 140 all out.

Earlier, Kyle Jamieson, playing his first Test in over two years after back stress fractures, took five for 62 to bowl England out. The pitch offered plenty of movement, with 16 wickets falling in 60 overs of rain-affected play.

Robinson struck with his third ball, trapping Devon Conway lbw, then had Kane Williamson caught at short leg and Rachin Ravindra lbw in the same over. He later bowled Daryl Mitchell, with Gus Atkinson and Josh Tongue also taking wickets.

England's batting collapse was less frenetic than usual, with only Harry Brook's dismissal for 56 being a result of aggressive intent. Ben Duckett made 19, while debutant Emilio Gay scored four before falling to Jamieson.

New Zealand were without Matt Henry, who left the field with back spasms after his opening spell. Nathan Smith and Will O'Rourke shared three wickets between them to hasten England's end.
