The incident occurred with mere seconds remaining in the first half. With the Rams leading the Carolina Panthers 17-14 and facing a 3rd & 10, quarterback Matthew Stafford launched a deep pass towards his star receiver. A completion would have resulted in a certain touchdown, putting Los Angeles 10 points ahead at halftime.
To the shock of fans and teammates alike, the ball slipped through Nacua's grasp. The Rams were forced to settle for their narrow lead, a pivotal moment that shifted the game's momentum.
