Martin Odegaard has discussed how Norway will leverage their Premier League experience to overcome England in the World Cup quarter-finals on Saturday in Miami. The winner advances to the semi-finals.
Odegaard on Familiarity with England Stars
Norway captain Odegaard, alongside Erling Haaland, faces several club teammates and domestic rivals. He said: "Obviously we know the quality they have. I know them really well. Outstanding players, world-class players, playing for probably one of the best national teams in the world at the moment, so it's going to be a big test for us."
He added: "But I think Brazil was the same. We were the underdogs and, as you saw, anything can happen in football, so, yeah, we're going to give it a good try and see what we can do."
Norway's World Cup Journey
Norway finished second in their group behind France, then secured impressive wins against the Ivory Coast and Brazil. Odegaard emphasized: "I think we've showed the whole world that we're a good team and, as I said, in football anything is possible."
Haaland's Threat
Erling Haaland has scored seven goals in the tournament, including two against Brazil. England must contain him to progress. The winner faces Argentina or Switzerland in Atlanta on Wednesday.
