A nationwide panel of 50 media members who regularly cover the league has completed its voting, with ballots tabulated by the accounting firm Lutz and Carr. The voting process required each member to select a top five for each of the eight AP NFL awards, with points allocated as follows: first-place votes worth 10 points, and second- through fifth-place votes worth 5, 3, 2, and 1 point respectively.
Notable Finalists Across Multiple Categories
Christian McCaffrey stands out as only the second player in history to be a finalist for three AP NFL awards in the same year. He joins an elite group in the running for The Associated Press 2025 NFL Most Valuable Player, which includes Josh Allen, Trevor Lawrence, Drake Maye, and Matthew Stafford.
Drake Maye, who will lead the New England Patriots into the Super Bowl against the Seattle Seahawks, and Christian McCaffrey are also finalists for the Offensive Player of the Year award. Additionally, McCaffrey and Trevor Lawrence are among the contenders for the Comeback Player of the Year honour.
