Maura Higgins showcased her toned physique in a new Instagram post on Friday, wearing a partially unbuttoned psychedelic print blouse without a bra and a neon green mini skirt. The 31-year-old Love Island star posed against a scenic backdrop from a trip to the Maldives, captioning the image 'Sunset dreaming' with a green heart emoji.
The same evening, Higgins enjoyed a girls' night with fellow Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague, 22, watching the film The Grinch and indulging in pizza, pasta, ice cream and chocolate. She shared updates on her Instagram Stories, including photos of uneaten pizzas and a chocolate-drizzled crepe with ice cream.
Higgins is newly single after her split from Strictly Come Dancing professional Giovanni Pernice, 31, in October following a four-month relationship. Pernice later denied reports that he was dating Made in Chelsea star Verity Bowditch.
In April, Higgins revealed she had lost her period for four months due to an 'obsession' with exercise that led to dangerous weight loss. She told MailOnline that her then-boyfriend Chris Taylor and her mother expressed concern, prompting her to reduce her workouts and increase her calorie intake. 'It's all about balance,' she said, noting she now exercises once or twice a week and eats healthier during the week while indulging at weekends.
Higgins started exercising during lockdown and was pleased with her lean results from Joe Wicks' workouts, but she has since taken a step back after listening to loved ones. 'It's good to have people around you that are not afraid to say these things to you,' she said.
