Former Rangers owner Sir David Murray is set to discuss the Manchester City controversy after being lined up by Ibrox legend Graeme Souness. Murray and former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan will appear on Souness' podcast 'Graeme Souness Tackles' to debate one of football's biggest controversies.
Murray's Rangers Legacy and Financial Fallout
Murray spent more than two decades in charge of Rangers before selling up after 23 years to Craig Whyte, the disgraced former owner who led the club into financial ruin. The millionaire metals tycoon bankrolled an era of glitter and gold at Ibrox, estimating that close to £80million was invested by himself and his businesses during his two-decade run as owner and chairman.
But the man who famously vowed to spend a tenner for every fiver slapped down by Celtic was left with the legacy of being remembered chiefly for the EBT gamble that cost the club so dearly. Some have made comparisons between Rangers' situation and the current Man City controversy, with the English giants found guilty of breaching almost all of the 115 charges brought against them by the English Premier League.

Souness was manager of Rangers when Murray bought the club from Lawrence Marlborough for £6m in 1988 before he left for Liverpool, with Walter Smith succeeding him.
