Beau Greaves Stuns Luke Littler in PDC World Youth Championship Thriller

Beau Greaves produced a stunning performance to defeat Luke Littler 6-5 in a last-leg decider in the semi-finals of the PDC world youth championship in Wigan. The three-time WDF women's world champion recovered from 4-3 and 5-4 down to force a deciding leg, which she won with an 80 checkout.

Littler, who had just won the World Grand Prix final against Luke Humphries the previous day, averaged 107.4 but could not prevent Greaves from securing victory. The 21-year-old from Doncaster averaged 105 in a match that saw Littler miss double 12 for a nine-dart finish.

Greaves, who has also won the PDC Women's World Matchplay twice, will now face defending champion Gian van Veen in the final on 23 November at Butlin's Minehead Resort. Van Veen beat Sebastian Bialecki 6-4 in the other semi-final.

Littler had earlier progressed through the round-robin stage and defeated Tom Garfield, Ronan McDonagh, Charlie Manby and Jamai van den Herik to reach the semi-finals. Greaves topped her group and overcame Coby Jones-Swanson, Danny Jansen, Tyler Thorpe and Liam Maendl-Lawrance en route to the last four.

After the match, Littler congratulated Greaves on social media, writing: 'I had two 10-dart legs, missed double 12 for a nine and still couldn't win. Fair play to Beau. All the best in Minehead. Some talent.'
