Liverpool manager Arne Slot has suggested that the club's Premier League title celebrations will serve as a powerful tool in attracting top players and motivating the current squad to repeat their success next season. The Reds secured their 20th English league crown with a commanding lead at the top of the table.
Slot described the jubilant scenes at Anfield and across Merseyside as part of a 'perfect package' that reinforces the team's desire to experience such moments again. 'It's also a perfect package to stay motivated ourselves, because to experience this once is really nice, but we would love to experience it one more time,' he said.
The head coach acknowledged that Liverpool's success will aid recruitment efforts, as targeted players often have multiple options. 'It definitely helps to attract new players as well, because mostly the players that we want to have, we are not the only clubs who think they are good players,' Slot explained.
With Liverpool 15 points clear of Arsenal, Slot expects only minor adjustments in the final matches, maintaining the core of the team. He noted that individual targets remain, such as Mohamed Salah being four goals short of his best Premier League tally.
Work on strengthening the squad for next season is already under way alongside sporting director Richard Hughes. Slot added that there is now more time for transfer conversations after securing the title, compared to if the race had been tighter.
