Liverpool are facing further disruption from the Saudi Pro League as Al-Hilal express interest in signing Luis Díaz. The Saudi club, one of four backed by the country's Public Investment Fund, is expected to make an approach for the Colombia international, though Liverpool have no desire to sell.
Díaz, who joined from Porto in January 2022, impressed before missing six months of last season with a serious knee injury. He remains integral to Jürgen Klopp's plans for the upcoming campaign, making any potential sale unlikely.
The interest in Díaz comes as Liverpool consider a £40m offer from Al-Ittihad for Fabinho, who has been omitted from the pre-season training camp in Germany as a result. Meanwhile, captain Jordan Henderson is the subject of a lucrative approach from Al-Ettifaq, managed by Steven Gerrard, though no bid has been lodged and Liverpool will not countenance a cut-price deal.
Klopp is seeking replacements for Fabinho, with Southampton's Roméo Lavia under consideration. However, should the 29-year-old Brazilian leave, Liverpool may opt for a more experienced defensive midfielder. Al-Hilal have already spent over £100m this summer, signing Rúben Neves, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
