Liverpool Lead English Clubs In Deloitte Money League 2026

Liverpool have become the highest-earning English club in the latest Deloitte Football Money League, but for the first time in the report's 29-year history no Premier League side features in the top four. Real Madrid retained top spot with €1.16bn (£1bn), followed by Barcelona (€974m), Bayern Munich (€860m) and Paris Saint-Germain (€837m).

Liverpool climbed from eighth to fifth with total revenues of €836m, driven by on-pitch success under Arne Slot, Champions League income, and a 7% rise in commercial revenues. The club also benefited from staging concerts by Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa and Bruce Springsteen at Anfield, as well as corporate events.

Manchester City dropped from second to sixth (€829m) due to a lack of on-pitch success, while Manchester United fell from fifth to eighth (€793m) after broadcast revenue fell from €258m to €206m following their absence from the Champions League. United have topped the Money League in 10 of its 29 editions, most recently in 2017.

Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea remained seventh, ninth and tenth respectively. Tim Bridge, lead partner at Deloitte's Sports Business Group, noted a shift towards clubs maximising brand and stadium assets, with on-site breweries, hotels and restaurants becoming common to diversify income and create year-round entertainment destinations.
