Liverpool Football Club are engaged in fresh discussions with defender Ibrahima Konate regarding a potential contract extension, as confirmed by manager Arne Slot. The Premier League champions face the significant risk of losing the French international on a free transfer this summer when his current agreement reaches its expiration date.

His general performances were good but then a small mistake he made immediately led to a goal and so he was judged differently."
The manager further emphasized the importance of both defenders, noting: "He is having a very good partnership with Virgil since I've been here and, just like Virgil, he has always been fit.
