Liverpool have received a significant injury boost ahead of their Premier League trip to Aston Villa on Friday, with manager Arne Slot confirming that Mohamed Salah and Alisson Becker are ready to return to action.
Salah has been sidelined with a minor muscle injury, while Alisson has been out with a hamstring issue. Slot revealed that Salah is available for 'a few minutes' and that Alisson has returned to training. Defender Ibrahima Konate, who was forced off against Chelsea, has also trained with the squad.
However, summer signing Florian Wirtz is a doubt after being struck down with a stomach bug and is on antibiotics. Slot said: 'Konate is OK, trained with us. Salah is available for a few minutes but hopefully can come in. Alisson, trained with us, let's see where he is. Wirtz - stomach infection so let's see how fit he is.'
