Joao Pedro Out of Chelsea vs Tottenham With Injury

Joao Pedro has been ruled out of Chelsea's squad for their Premier League clash with Tottenham due to an injury that is currently being assessed. The 25-year-old striker, who leads Chelsea's scoring charts in the top flight this season with five goals, was not deemed fit enough for the encounter at Stamford Bridge.

Team Changes for Chelsea

In the only other alteration from the side that beat Everton last weekend, Mike Penders comes in for the injured Emi Martinez. Martinez underwent successful surgery on a fractured jaw following a collision at the Hill Dickinson Stadium and is expected to be sidelined for a period.

Xabi Alonso has surprised many by handing Geovany Quenda his full Premier League debut. Josh Acheampong keeps his place in defence alongside Maxence Lacroix and Levi Colwill.

Midfield and Attack

Pedro Neto, last weekend's match-winner, is set to play on the right flank, with Jorrel Hato on the opposite side. Jordan Henderson and captain Moises Caicedo form the midfield partnership, while Cole Palmer is expected to start to the right of Morgan Rogers, who appears set to fill a makeshift No. 9 role.

Tottenham's Lineup

For Tottenham, Roberto De Zerbi has made two changes from the side that defeated Coventry City on Monday, with Mathys Tel and Mateus Fernandes replacing Tosin Adarabioyo and Dominic Solanke.
