Jayden Danns scored his first goal of the season to help Liverpool under-21s come from 2-0 down and draw 2-2 with Chelsea in Premier League 2 at Kingsmeadow on Saturday afternoon.
Danns struck three minutes into the second half to earn Liverpool a point, his first goal at any level since August 2025 and his seventh outing for the U21s this campaign.
Comeback from two goals down
Chelsea took control early through goals from Harrison McMahon and Sol Gordon. Will Wright pulled one back for Rob Page's side on 26 minutes, netting his 10th goal in 11 games this season.
Danns then equalised early in the second half to complete the comeback and secure a 2-2 draw.
U18s beaten at Manchester United
Earlier in the day, the under-18s lost 6-3 at Manchester United in the U18 Premier League North despite another goal from 15-year-old midfielder Luca Eden.
Liverpool trailed 3-0 by the interval at Carrington after Noah Ajayi's strike and a brace from Jaume Camacho-Sidos. The Reds fought back in the second half with Finn Inglethorpe netting after good work from Eden and AJ Yeguo, before Erik Farkas forced a mistake from United goalkeeper Charlie Hardy.
United responded with Camacho-Sidos finishing with four goals in the game and Emmanuel Ziro also scoring. Eden's individual strike, turning on a pass 30 yards out and progressing to thump home from range into the top corner, was a highlight.
