Arsenal's Isaac Hayden set for Hull City loan move

Arsenal are preparing to send England youth international Isaac Hayden on loan to Championship side Hull City. The 20-year-old midfielder, who can also play in central defence, is expected to join Steve Bruce's squad as Arsène Wenger believes the spell will aid his development.

Hayden has made two senior appearances for the Gunners, both in the League Cup. He featured in the penalty shootout victory over West Bromwich Albion in September 2013 and started against Southampton in September 2014. He was also an unused substitute during the Champions League last-16 second leg against Bayern Munich in March 2014.

Having represented England at every level from under-16 to under-20, Hayden is primarily a defensive midfielder but has also been used at centre-half. The loan move to Hull would be the first of his career. He signed a contract with Arsenal in February 2014, indicating the club's faith in his potential.
