Man Utd Star Hojlund's Denmark Frustration: 'I'm Not Getting The Service'
Hojlund's Denmark Frustration: 'I Need Better Service'

Manchester United's £72 million striker Rasmus Hojlund has spoken out about his growing frustration with Denmark's Euro 2024 campaign, delivering a blunt assessment of his team's creative shortcomings after their disappointing 1-1 draw with Slovenia.

'I Need Better Service' - Hojlund's Honest Admission

The 21-year-old forward, who enjoyed a sensational end to his debut Premier League season, didn't mince words when analysing Denmark's attacking struggles. "I think we lack a bit of sharpness in the final third," Hojlund stated. "We get into good positions but then maybe make the wrong decision or don't see the pass."

His comments come after Denmark managed just nine shots against Slovenia, with Hojlund often left isolated and frustrated up front. The young striker emphasised that the service simply isn't reaching him in dangerous areas.

Eriksen Connection Fails to Spark

Much was expected of the partnership between Hojlund and Christian Eriksen, given their successful link-up during qualification. However, the magic has been missing in Germany, with Eriksen struggling to find his United teammate in scoring positions.

"Of course it's frustrating," Hojlund admitted. "I'm a striker who thrives on service. When I'm making runs and the ball doesn't come, it affects my game. We need to be more clinical with our final ball."

Crunch Serbia Clash Looms Large

With Denmark facing a must-win situation against Serbia on Tuesday, Hojlund knows the pressure is mounting. The Danes sit second in Group C behind England, but their progression hangs in the balance.

"We have to improve," Hojlund declared. "Against Serbia, we need to be more ruthless. I believe in this team, but we have to show it on the pitch. The quality is there - we just need to execute better in the final third."

The Manchester United star remains confident he can find the net when it matters most, but made it clear that the entire team must step up if Denmark are to make a deep run in the tournament.
