Haaland Jokes He's 'Angry' With Bouaddi Despite City Win

Erling Haaland scored both goals as Manchester City opened their Champions League league phase campaign with a 2-0 win over Porto on Tuesday night, then jokingly claimed he was “angry” with new signing Ayyoub Bouaddi.

Haaland's Double Seals Victory

City took the lead just after the interval when Haaland got on the end of a cross from deadline day signing Enzo Fernandez. The Norway international added a second later in the half to secure all three points in Portugal.

After the match, Haaland was asked for his verdict on Bouaddi's performance and delivered a light-hearted response, mixing praise with a playful complaint about one missed pass.

Praise for Bouaddi

“I think he [Bouaddi] had a really good game,” Haaland told Amazon Prime. “The last couple of weeks in training, I just told the chairman, he’s been amazing in training and everything.

“So I think we’ve got a gem there, to be honest. But I think he should have played me through during the second half, I was all alone.

“So I was a bit angry, and I will tell him right now. But he played a good game, except that pass.”
