Erling Haaland is expected to return to Manchester City's starting line-up for their Premier League visit to Aston Villa, the first game of the day.
The Norwegian striker has been a fitness concern after appearing to sustain a knock to the foot during last weekend's 3-2 win over Ipswich Town, in which he scored twice before hobbling off at full time.
Head coach Enzo Maresca had previously indicated Haaland would need a rest, given he made four appearances for Norway during the international break and has played in every City match since.
Maresca confirms Haaland availability
Haaland was named on the bench for Wednesday's Champions League match against AEK Athens but did not feature, while Nico O'Reilly, Mateo Kovacic and Matheus Nunes were also absent.
Ahead of the trip to Villa, Maresca played down concerns over Haaland's fitness.
Speaking on O'Reilly, Kovacic and Nunes, he said: "They could all be available or not. There are still doubts. Erling is the only one who is 100 per cent available and for the other three we need to wait."
Haaland's form this season
Haaland's availability is a significant boost for City against a tough Aston Villa side.
He has scored 12 goals in nine appearances across the Premier League and Champions League this campaign.
His eight league goals put him clear at the top of the Golden Boot race, ahead of Alexander Isak and Joao Pedro, who are joint second with five goals each.
