Garnacho's Chelsea Move Pays Off After Tunnel Moment

Alejandro Garnacho was seen offering encouragement to Jamie Gittens in the tunnel at Turf Moor on Saturday, demonstrating his growing maturity at Chelsea. Gittens started ahead of Garnacho in Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Burnley, but the Argentine responded with a friendly gesture as they walked back onto the pitch after half-time.

Garnacho, who joined Chelsea from Manchester United for £40million this summer, later supported Gittens on Instagram, commenting “Jammmieeee” with a starry-eyed emoji. Gittens replied “My brother” with a crossed fingers emoji and a heart.

Since his move, Garnacho has scored two goals and provided two assists in 10 appearances across all competitions. Manager Enzo Maresca praised the 21-year-old, saying: “He arrived from another club where he was not training 100 per cent… now it’s better. He’s doing very well on and off the ball.”

After the Burnley victory, Garnacho headed straight to the away end to thank Chelsea fans who travelled from London.
